Unity
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called.”
— Ephesians 4:3–4
Unity in the church isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a divine calling. Paul’s words to the Ephesians remind us that we are one body, bound together by one Spirit, called to one hope. This unity isn’t based on uniformity of opinion, background, or personality. It’s rooted in Christ Himself.
Yet, unity takes effort. It means choosing grace over gossip, forgiveness over resentment, and love over division. The early church faced disagreements, cultural clashes, and theological debates—but they were urged to pursue peace and mutual submission for the sake of the gospel.
When we prioritize unity, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who prayed in John 17 that His followers would be one, “so that the world may believe.” Our unity is a testimony.

Lord Jesus, You are the head of the Church, and we are Your body. Help us to walk in humility, gentleness, and patience with one another. Teach us to value unity over personal preference, and to seek peace in every relationship. May our love for one another be a light to the world. Amen.
