Being a Servant
Reflecting back on the Servant’s dinner last Monday night, I thought that I would reiterate a few points. The most important point being that we all realize the difference between Knowing about Jesus and Knowing Jesus. Each one of us as believers are called into a relationship with the living God, the Creator of the universe, and we all have the privilege and the responsibility to share with others how this can take place. We all can get caught up in reading the Bible just to say we have read all the way through the 66 books and still not understand what it is saying to us in a very personal way. The Holy Spirit will lead us, guide us and give us understanding if we pray and ask. This is what we need to pass on to others, especially our young children, teens and young adults. Better programs and devotional books can help, but a real encounter with God is what we all need to experience.
The quote from Warren Wiersby on Being a Servant:
“Allowing God’s divine resources to work though loving channels, meeting human needs to the glory of God.”
