Waiting upon God

Psalm 25:5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You [are] the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

We’ve all have heard the expression, waiting upon God. In that we find one of the deepest truths in God’s Word about the attitude we need to adopt in our communion with Him.

To think that He makes Himself known to us; that He wants to teach us; that he will keep His promises to us; that in all things He remains the everlasting God.  This is the way we should begin each day, in quiet meditation, offering Him our praises, our desires our longings to the Father. This should be our attitude thorough out the day while we are busy with our day’s activities.

In striving towards obedience and holiness, in our struggles against sin and self – in all these things there should be a waiting upon God to receive what He would supply, to see what He would do and allowing Him to be the almighty God in our life.

If you meditate upon these things you will truly appreciate the precious promises of God’s Word.
