“So Thankful”

As I ponder the 66 years of my life and the last 33 of them as a follower of Christ, I have so much to be thankful for. Many of us have lived difficult lives to say the least, some are in the most difficult days of their life at this very moment. But the one thing that continues to ring true is God is faithful and will not let us down because He loves us. To me this is one of the greatest truths I hold on to “ God’s love for me”. His love for me is not determined by anything I can do or say, His love for me comes from His heart from everlasting to everlasting it overwhelms me with a thankful heart. (Jer 31.3)  “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself”. Jesus said throughout the the gospels how much he Loved us; He loved us so much He gave His life for us - He died for me and He died for you - out of love. To take our sins away so we could spend all eternity with Him, He loved us that much. (John 17:3) and have loved them as You have loved Me. As Jesus was speaking to His Father. (Paul wrote in Eph 2:4) “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.”

I know we all want to be loved, we all want to be accepted, we want to be liked. I encourage you to start with Jesus, you will find the Love of your life in Christ, a best friend for all eternity, then and only then will everything else come together for you in your life. He is Jealous for you and desires your love for Him. Which means He has an intense, protective, and exclusive love for you and demands your complete and sole devotion in return. This is a righteous jealousy, unlike human envy, because it stems from His perfect holiness and His desire for your ultimate good and joy in your life. Fall in Love with Jesus and watch how your life changes for ever.
