WHY WOULD A GOOD GOD DESTROY THE WORLD?

Most of us have at one time or another have asked, why doesn’t God do something to stop all the evil in the world? The Scriptures explain that man’s heart became so evil, that it grieved the very heart of God.

God has feelings that are far beyond ours. When men did so much evil to each other, God could no longer allow sin to rule. The flood of Noah’s day came after a warning from God to repent or perish. For 120 years Noah spoke to the people about the flood. By grace God provided an ark of safety, but the people would not listen. And today isn’t any different. Could those first rain drops have come from the eyes of God? God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. What he had to do then, God will do again, but this time by fire. And this time God has been warning men not for 120 years, but for over two thousand years. Man made idols and temples will melt down. Buildings will become ash and the fate of humanity will be sealed. Fire will cleanse every trace of human cruelty, and a new earth and, new heaven shall be revealed. A place of no more death, no more tears. However, there will be scars on the body of Jesus to remember what God has done to bring whosoever will to repent, and trust in Jesus. Friends, Jesus is the ark of safety for us today. Let us exam ourselves, are we in, or out?
