Be anxious for nothing
But in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning you.
One of the signs of the last days is a thankless generation. Among the many Bibles I have is the One Year Pray for the Persecuted Bible. Daily reading reminds me our family of God in many places are being persecuted, and killed for believing in Jesus Christ. I am thankful for their testimony and willingness to serve Christ. They are not unknown but seldom make the news. Like Paul said Philippians 1:14 and many of the brethren in the in the Lord, waxing confident by my bounds, are much bolder to speak the Word without fear.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? (Matthew 7:22)
When Jesus called the twelve disciples knowing Judas would betray him it was part of God’s will. We are told that Satan entered Judas. (John 13:27) Judas love of money is still the idol or god of choice of many people. Father God help us to be thankful for what we have today and not worry about tomorrow. May the persecuted church family around the world remind us to pray for them and be thankful? In Jesus Name!
