The Greatest Gift

I remember in the house I grew up in, it had a wall heater between the living room and the hall way to the bedrooms, me and my brother would get up early with excitement to look through the grates on Christmas morning to see the gifts around the tree, you see we could not go out in the living room until my parents were up and had their coffee.
Parents always try their best to get just the right gift for their kids, but the greatest gift you could get them is the knowledge of Jesus and why he came to the earth.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsel- or, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
As children get excited for Christmas morning to open presents, to see if they get just what they asked for, but sadly most of the time a week or month later the excitement reduces, and year later that gift is either broken, lost or just given away.
It’s like when we first come to the Lord we are so excited to tell everyone about Him and what He has done in our lives, but sad to say sometimes over time that excitement diminishes too, we need to stay excited about telling people about Jesus and the love he has for them.
The greatest gift was not under a tree but in a manger
