Psalm 28:7

“The Lord is my strength and my sheild; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise him.”

When I read this verse and I think about the words written here it truly touches my heart because these are very simple yet very powerful words. We always talk about the armor of God and we talk about the bible being our sword. And we talk about the sheild of faith, the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth and so on. But where does the strength to weild these come from. Warriors, Knights, Men of Valor, these are not weak people. These are men of strength that weild swords, sheilds, and armor. But where does our strength come from. Does it come from you. Do you try to muster up your own strength to take on the attacks from the enemy. Do you look at your life and think that you can do all these things on your own and your the only one that can do them right. These are

the lies the enemy tells you. Satan wants you to rely on self. This world praises the sucess of self. But God wants us to trust Him. He wants us to rely on him for our strength. He wants us to rely on him to help us. He loves us so much. And just as the psalmist writes that because hes trusting in God and relying on him. That his heart leaps for joy. There is joy in following God and trusting in Him. We just have to do it.
