1Kings 18:37

Elijah cried out, “Hear me, oh Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to you again.” 1Kings 18:37

My sense of security must not rest in my possessions or in things going my way. Depend on God alone, and find your fulfillment in His presence. Be satisfied with much, or be satisfied with little, accepting either as God’s will for this moment.

“Not My will but Yours be done“ (Luke 22:42). This scripture is a resolve that covers our entire ex- istence: relationships, spouse, children, grandchildren, finances, desires, dreams, plans, and actions, all are included.

The early church’s secret was their prayer. They didn’t pray for God to change their circumstances, they prayed for the power to do Gods will and for God to be glorified thru it all!
