Psalm 46 a psalm of “trust” and “thanksgiving”

Psalm 46

Psalm 46 is a psalm of “trust” and “thanksgiving”

It begins with “”God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear . . . . . . “Verses 1 and 2a and, it ends with “Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted among the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our stronghold.”  Verses 10 and 11

Hebrews 13:8 tells us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”

The God that we serve and worship is as omniscient, omnipotent; as strong and present; as tried and true as He was in the days of the psalmist.

Every day should be, for us, as His children, a day of trust that He will provide direction for our steps; as well as a day of thanksgiving for all that He does for us, within us, and through us to those around us.

 Amen and Hallelujah!!
