Boast in the Lord!

Lately the Lord has been reminding me that as a believer and follower of Jesus, my identity is in Him and Him alone. A lot of times I will boast in my personal accomplishments such as work achievements, my possessions or even ministry. I often forget that I’m only capable of these accomplishments because of HIM.

The definition of Boasting is: talk with excessive pride and self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities.

God’s word tells us, if we wish to boast, we should boast only in Lord.

This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!
JEREMIAH 9:23-24
