There are times in one’s life where we just struggle with things. Maybe it’s people, maybe it’s a work related issue, perhaps its a financial situation, maybe it’s an illness, or just burdened by the weight and circumstances of life. In the book of Philippians it says-
Let your gentleness be known to all men. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Jesus Christ. Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is an virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things. The things which you have learned and received and heard and saw in me, do them, and the God of peace will be with you. I have learned in whatever state I am to be content. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ. Philippians chapter 4 verses 5-9, 11, 13, and 19.
I don’t know about you, but I really want the Lord to guard my heart, to guard my mind, and to guard my life from everything that is not of Him. This world that we live in is filled with disappointment, difficult times, uncertainty, and division. Immorality and sinful behavior is running amuck in every form imaginable, distractions at every turn to entice us, to keep us busy and operating on overload, to get our focus off of the Lord. I really desire the Lords peace, calm, and wisdom filled presence each and every day. I want to live my life with joy no matter what my daily circumstances or difficulties are. I want to rest in knowing that God, the creator of the universe, is going to supply 100% of my needs (not wants) each and every day. Trust God, He is absolutely worthy of our trust. He will never leave us or forsake us, not even for a single moment. Thank you Jesus!
