The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;

We all say we trust in the Lord but do we really? Earlier this week a co-worker put a message out to our team that he was told he has cancer, he asked for prayer, he said that he is scared of needles and not very fond of doctor’s. Rather than just saying I would pray for him I messaged him to see if he was available to talk, he was.  He then shared with me some details of the cancer he has and his fears, that the tumor is the size of a grapefruit and the doctor told him it has progressed quite a bit. I asked him how his relationship with the Lord is, he said he is a believer (praise the Lord). I was then able to share words of encouragement with him and remind him that God is in control and no matter what the outcome is, it is for His Glory. He agreed. I was also able to pray with him, he then had tears running down his cheek but I could also see some relief in his face.

I shared Psalm 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

I believe he is trusting Him, sometimes we say we trust in the Lord but sometimes it is very difficult to admit that it is hard especially when you are told some devastating news. I pray for my co-worker everyday now that 1: God would heal him 2: God would comfort him 3: whatever the outcome of this is, God would be glorified.

Please pray for my co-worker his name is Jake
