Everything Has Its Time
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, And a time to die;A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep,And a time to throw away;
A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
Solomon wrote this poetic book in his old age reflecting on his life. In this chapter v. 1-8 tells us
to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:
We all will go through seasons in our lives, times of trouble, sadness, worry, gladness, joy,
what ever the season you are going through, look toward Jesus, if you have financial troubles look toward Jesus, if you have illness look toward Jesus, issues at work or home look toward Jesus, if you have joy and gladness, and everything is going great Praise Jesus.
The times we live in now more than ever we need to look toward Jesus, the uproars going on throughout our country, the attacks around the world, look toward JESUS, we need to be praying for those who are leading our country and yes even if we don’t agree with them, also pray for the church.
Verse 8 starts a time to Love, this is a time we need to be people who love, because Jesus loves everyone.
